Lifestyle & Culture
Middlebury is home to a vibrant cultural and artistic scene that rivals most small cities. It’s an active community, offering a full spectrum of visual and performing arts, world-renowned musicians, high quality theatre, and a series of festivals throughout the year that celebrate the Middlebury community.
As a resident of the Battell Block Residences, enjoy a calm stroll down Main Street to the local bank, library, the Marquis Theater movie theater, shops, restaurants and colleges. The town also boasts a beautiful town green, Town Hall Theater for live plays and shows, bubbling Otter Creek, Marble Works restaurants and shops just across a fun footbridge, Farmer’s Market right across the street, the famed Morgan Horse Farm, Otter Creek Brewery and Woodchuck Hard Cider. If you’re a sports fan you’ll enjoy attending sporting events at Middlebury College such as baseball, basketball, hockey, lacrosse and football. And if you’re a golfer you’ll like the Ralph Myhre Golf Course, which is open to the public and located right in Middlebury.
